The House of Unexpected Sisters

The House of Unexpected Sisters by Alexander McCall Smith (Pantheon Books, 2017)

In 2017, this was the latest novel in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series; I’m just catching up. Visiting lady detective Precious Ramotswe in Botswana again is always a treat, since few of her cases involve violence. They are more likely to raise questions of morality and how people treat each other. Unusually, this story involves a discovery about her own family. If you are invested in the series, don’t miss this one.
